Free Quality Scrapbooking Supplies
Now that so many good scrapbooking supply designers are Internet savvy, there’s an abundance of free scrapbook papers and embellishments. As long as you know how to do an Internet search and download files, you can have an almost endless supply of materials to create gorgeous scrapbooks. That caused famous artist Mary Englebreit to remark recently that the Web is so overflowing with terrific free scrapbooking designs, it can provide nearly any type of images you might need. And she’s an authority on good images; products carrying her designs on them fly off the shelves as soon as they’re released!

Babies and Kids
Like weddings, tiny tots invite the taking of photos. And what scrapbooker wouldn’t want to pass down a distinctive baby scrapbook to her child as he or she gets older? Fortunately, you can find a huge selection of scrapbooking designs for babies. If you’re not up on baby images, however, you might find the color schemes a little surprising these days. Chocolate brown, burnt orange and red are popular, as are various shades of green. Of course, you can still find lots of blue and pink, it’s just that you can find a lot of bolder color choices too. And for older kids, there is quite a lot of free clip art that reflects special interests, for example gymnastics images and football clipart.
Antique
More and more people seem to be searching for antique scrapbook materials. Maybe that’s because antique art is so timeless and doesn’t date the final product to any particular modern era. Greeting cards from times long gone make great vintage scrapbook embellishments, as do clipart images from years gone by. And when you can find digital scrapbook papers made from compilations of vintage images, you’ll experience digital meeting traditional in a beautiful and useful way. Antique images also cover a wide variety of subjects, including images as diverse as vintage perfume labels, magician posters, Victorian fashion illustrations, vintage wedding flowers, old sailing ships and historical sailing ships. Holiday
Holidays just naturally invite scrapbooking, since those are the times we gather with friends and family to create special memories. And it’s not just the “showier” holidays, such as Christmas, Easter, Valentine’s Day and Halloween that inspire scrapbooks; it’s the minor holidays too. There are all kinds of patriotic scrapbooking papers and embellishments on the Web for holidays such as Memorial Day, Veterans Day, Fourth of July and Flag Day. There is also environmental clipart suitable for Earth Day, and images for Mother’s Day, Father’s Day and any other holiday you can think of; even the off-beat and downright bizarre ones.
Butterflies and Flowers
People who scrapbook seem to love flowers of all kinds, and why not? They’re appropriate for almost any occasion. Butterflies, too, have a large audience, because they represent summertime, freedom, happiness and other cheerful things. Butterfly and flower images are also diverse, because you can find them in both illustration and photographic form, and in modern and vintage forms. There are even butterfly pictures to print that sometimes even have coordinating modern and vintage designs available in the same collections.
Wedding Images
Scrapbooks and weddings are a natural combination, because wedding photo albums have always been traditional anyway. But if you can make it a wedding scrapbook instead, you can preserve your memories in an even more creative way. There is a surprisingly good selection of wedding scrapbooking images on the Internet that will allow you to create a lasting memento for little or no cost. And if for some reason you don’t find any specifically for weddings that appeal to you, flower scrapbook images will often do just as well.
So the next time you need scrapbook supplies, check the Internet. You might be pleasantly surprised at the free images you’ll find.
